It’s actually amazing how many details can be brought out using digital enhancements on photographs. This one looks pretty blurry and I’m not sure it will be a lot of help but there’s more than one way to skin a cat, as the saying goes.
This is a very good “Dick Tracy coincidence” with Tracy investigating two cases simultaneously. When he sees the Margies together, he’ll “tumble” to why the photograph seems so familiar to him. Also, the bit in mystery stories where the detective sees or hears something, and it registers in his subconscious, but he can’t quite get it into focus. This is shaping up to be a very good detective story.
One thing – I can’t believe they have Sam examining the photo while driving in traffic. I’ve seen folks do stuff like this in real life – I’ve seen a guy reading a newspaper, I’ve seen one person who had a paperback book balanced on the steering wheel in front of him, while on the freeway. And, of course, today’s big thing is texting while driving. Please folks, don’t do that.
Maybe in the first panel, they are still parked. Then he hands the photo to Tracy and pulls out into traffic as the discussion continues. Yeah, that has to be it.

Good (re)appearance of Jim in Sunday’s crimestoppers panel.
Have caught up all the comments starting the 10th when I departed Phoenix. Great Pequod poem yesterday, on the grave smashers. Some people are just more bent than others. I like the turn the story is taking, kinda like chapters in a book and I believe Shelley’s art only gets better ! Her depiction of Sam’s scowl upon getting the “grave” news from Chief Patton is superb !

I’m willing to give Sam the benefit of the doubt & believe he hasn’t pulled out into traffic yet & is not a “distracted driver.” & to be fair, the storyline is starting to build up some suspense now.
It must be the case that Sam has not yet pulled out into traffic in panel 1. And, somewhat odd camera angle in panel 1, as if from the rear right-side seat, since over Sam’s hand with the photo we see his outside-left rear-view mirror. I agree that panel 2 is all Tracy, both visual and dialogue. Visiting Big Margie will be the happy coincidence that jogs Tracy’s memory of the persons in the hazy surveillance photo. We’re on the way to clearing up two crimes! I just hope Sam can keep his righteous anger in check and not blow the legal case….

Apparently Tracy just wants some information from the, er, victim.

Very nice art today. The angle on the police car in the third panel is spectacular!

And the hunt commences. And it will be good when another case is found connected to this one. A two for one.

That was fast! Tracy’s memory is amazing. Hopefully he didn’t forget to buy Tess some Mothers Day flowers!

Sorry but the artwork in panel one is lacking. The boys look like they’re landing at JFK airport!

Better keep Sam away from the suspects if he’s still holding a grudge about the tombstones.

Little Margie will crack like an egg if Tracy looks at her sideways. She didn’t want anything to do with the vandalism, and wanted out on the robbery.
Maybe Big Margie will decide to keep her quiet, permanently. Criminals tend not to think of the consequences when it comes to protecting themselves.

No, Sam! No distracted driving! Is that any example for the young crimestoppers?!

Yeah, Sam – do hand the picture back to Tracy so you can drive the car!
