How did Michael spread a rumor that got to the camp counselor but, judging from the faces, did not get to the kids immediately surrounding him in the mess hall including his best buddy, Brian Enjo? That is a very stealthy prankster.
At a friends house in a wooded area with a winding road, several times a year there would be a squeal of brakes followed by a thump. They would run down to the road, and sure enough, freshly killed deer. They carried it home, drained the blood, skinned it, cut up and wrapped the meat, and put it in the freezer. (And gave the bones to the dogs.)
Anyone else remember the “good old days” (Before interstates and the chain fast food joints) and the combination cafes and filling stations with the neon sign out front that alternately flashed EAT HERE and then GET GAS. Sometimes they were so right! Roadkill would have been an improvement!
Trivia question: Back in those days why did you usually seek the eateries with the most trucks parked out front?

Punish who started the rumor by depriving him or her of their food.

When I went to summer camp in the Adirondacks when I was 12 I remember seeing a cutout of this strip posted.

Compared to most summer camp chow, road kill would be an upgrade in quality

Easy! Since the truckers likely passed this way frequently, they knew where the good places were and which ones to avoid!

Careful, Michael… Your bald spot shows when you’re headed for trouble.
