Evolution is quite the beautiful theory. And you see I don’t “believe” in Evolution. It has been shown to me, proven to me that it is not only viable. It is the only game in town.
The exact figure depends on whether you count microevolution or require macroevolution. Most Americans agree that species gradually change (average human heights differ by generation, for instance), but they’re less inclined to entertain the idea that our remote ancestors had a different number of chromosomes.
