I guess I am as my first car was a year older than that Chevy. I was stunned the other day whilst driving to the store. There as a line of cars and at the endof all those modern suppositories there was a sparkling clean ’65 Comet! Even if it was a sedan it looked sharp.
The first car I remember us having was a brand new ’57 Chevy Bel Air in turquoise and white. We got it when I was 6 months old and traded it in when I was about 8.
GM is missing the boat by not making a retro version of the ’57 Bel Air. The target demographic is dying off. A quick look on AutoTrader shows prices of $35,000 to $95,000. Chevy should be able to put out an updated version for under $35,000, and it would be an instant classic.
I doubt there is any of my first car aound. "64 Rambler Classic Convertable w/ bucket seats and a 360 cu inch . The driver’s seat back would let go and fall into the back seat. Good for dates, not so good for driving down the road. (Which is what brought about the car’s demise).

I too had a 65 Comet but it was a two door Cyclone 289 4 speed. It was not my 1st but my 5th car.

When I see my first car go by, it’s on the back of a tow truck.

If I go past an classic auto show I look for that ’71 camero. And if it is gold, bingo, we have a winner.

our ’56 was burgundy and white——
an interesting side note, the ’56 left tail light flipped down to reveal the gas cap

Actually, I want a 56 Bel Air. I need to check the back seat, because I lost something there.

Our ‘56 Bel Air was light green & white. I’ll never forget the new car smell.

I had seven 1956 chevys over the years. Always was my favorite of the tri-fives.

There’s a red 55 Chevy and a nice GTO at the car lot we drive by all the time. Out of our price range.

Mine was a ’67 Chevy Impala Coupe. I called it “Mr. Burgundy” for its color, and my driving teacher Mr. Bergandy :-)

My first car was a 1972 Ford Pinto station wagon, haven’t seen one of those in years.
