Better think of a different theme, Sally, which does not involve fleeing from school.

If I had a pony, I’d ride it in the morning,

I’d ride it in the evening, all over this land.Sing it with me!!

Most kids would write something like that.

Nice handwriting for such a young kid.

If I had a pony, I would need a barn for it to sleep in,a bail of hay for food, a shovel for you know, and alot of water. Then I would need a saddle, where does itend?

Why not “If I Had a My Little Pony”?

Ah, creative writing.

Sally will probably get a D- anyway, so she might as well go for it.

Nice to see that Sally is keeping up the family tradition of educational excellence.

If I had a pony car it, it would be like the one Bullitt drove.

At least she is using cursive. They don’t even teach that in schools anymore.

Any connection to the old song “Yon Mountain,” in which a girl sings that if she had a pony, she’d ride it up yon mountain to see the other side?

I love that expression “make your head swim”. I’ve only seen it used in Peanuts. Is it a Shulz original?

If I had a boat, I’d go out on the ocean.

And if I had a pony, I’d ride it on my boat.

Me upon my pony on my boat.

At least she’s writing in cursive.

I love ponies and horses. They are so gentle and loving. One look at you with those big eyes and you practically melt like butter.

Sally is too young to be able to write in cursive. At her grade level they can barely print their name! Go check out a school wall with student’s work on it.

At our HS, the female valedictorian wrote a speech kind of on the same theme as Sally’s. In it she said she was happy to graduate, in spite of all her substandard teachers. Several teachers had gifts for her….she never saw them….

Extra credit to Sally for telling it like it is.

Sally needs to consider that last thought for a lot of her school work.
