Boy, do I remember the days of reading the comics section of a newspaper before GoComics came along.

The 5 year rerun is ending today. Again, this is a repeat of an earlier strip, as Richard explained in the My last strip blog entry back in 2012:

This is one reason big brothers go gray.

Alice, this is a very important rule. If you want to read the comics, you have to look at and read them panel by panel. No jumping to the end.

What if you look at this comic the way Alice does, like in each panel it’s a different pair of kids that look alike?

It’d better if interrupting were a dying art form.

Every time I pick up a newspaper, the comics are the first thing I read.

Every time a newspaper starts to fail, the comics are the first thing they dump.

Yikes! She almost needs a bucket of water to calm her down.

I love this one. So typical Alice and So typical Petey. I love seeing their interaction.

Sadly, the days of children reading the funny pages seem to be a thing of the past.

Sequential art really is an art. And this was the last strip published by Richard before he was so cruelly taken from us. R.I.P. genius of Sequential Art!
