FYI, meat production has a much larger “Carbon Footprint” than vegetable production.
Cattle, in addition, generate sizable quantities of methane via their digestive systems.
Seems I’d read somewhere – and it sounds silly, but apparently this is legit – that scientists were giving serious study to the concept of splicing selected kangaroo DNA into cattle, as ‘Roo’s digestive tracks are similar, but don’t produce methane.
The lettering in Mom’s word balloon in Panel #4 looks slightly crowded towards the right: This arc has been a bit heavier on dialogue than usual – necessarily so, as you’re establishing incoming characters – still, might want to be mindful.
Clarity is occasionally a trade-off as to how much of the art will be covered up.
Oh, my. Time to get out the turkey shaped Tofu for those two yahoos. There is no gluten in Turkey! Free trade? Okay, I trade my time to eat my turkey and you take your time to leave.
“Take that coal company!” This from a guy that drives what appears to be a gas guzzling vehicle and has no sense by parking on the grass that consumes C02. And that is not a KIA, I own a KIA and there is no KIA van or suv that is bigger than that car. I think it might be a HUMMER or one of those big Chevy or Fords.
The point is that we need to eat less meat and more vegetables etc. While world population approaches 8 billion most of them have barely enough to eat and while we in the 3 billion consume more than the 4 billion poorer peoples. Just the US alone makes up just 6% of the population yet consume 25% of the resources and generate 25% of the global waste. If everyone did that we would be depleted and dying in less than year. And there are not 4 other Earths to use.
1 lb of meat = 10 lbs of water used and 12 lbs of greenery to make it. A terrible waste of space, and greens if we grew edible ones for us instead of for cows. It is a question of logic and necessity. Sooner or later the bottom is going to fall out if we don’t curb our consumption rates. You can’t grow out of it since there is no place to grow. When you add logistics it becomes a “bitch” of a problem.

Seems every panel might be framed at a tilted “Dutch Angle,” though the effect is most prominent in Panel #1.
