I’m still puzzled about why John S ratted them out. Unless it has to do with Silver going to the Carribean. But now we know it’s just Silver, not Sprocket. What gives?
Praying for those who are mourning the loss of loved ones from yesterday’s senseless act of violence in Texas. Also praying that those wounded recover fully. May their faith in Christ sustain them.
When I left South Minneapolis a decade ago, my neighborhood McDonald’s (just over the city line in Edina, MN) had a relic of a short-lived 1980s ad campaign for the Golden Arches in its dining room: A baby grand player piano with a mannequin of hipster-crooner “Mac Tonight” at the keyboard. Mac was kind of a hybrid of Bobby Darin and the MTV digital-animated character Max Headroom (speaking of relics). Mac wore a tuxedo and shades, and his head was a giant crescent moon. (You can see him in animated action here: https://youtu.be/0c4_b5PHWg8.) I never thought of it before, but in profile in the last panel, Silver bears a pretty strong resemblance to old Mac.
I think Sprocket’s “new look” is good enough to escape the attention of Tracy and the other’s involved with the stake out at the theater. Also, if she turns herself in to the police. I don’t believe she could be charged with escaping from prison. That is all on Domain.
He said her CUT…..not her HALF. And in my opinion, he’s “setting HIMSELF free”…..he doesn’t want to go back to prison, while she somehow seems to think going on a date is worth it.
His calling her “sis” pretty much says there is no romantic thing going on between them, as well. Hey, if there was….would she even be with that other guy?
Sprocket-Susan may be the one whose feelings are hurt, but it is Silver who is playing “a heckuva game,” risking appearing in the cinema that Tracy and the cops have staked out in propria persona. At least Susan is disguised and has a chance of slipping out with “her cut” (not necessarily, and probably indeed not, “half” of the #250K Silver conned Bea into giving him). But, once over the shock of the kiss-off, Sprocket may have other ideas about “bro” and how to treat him, cops or no cops….

Silver is going ahead with his plan to go to the Caribbean but he will get a one-way ticket to prison.

I also wonder whether Silver intended to dump Sprocket. A last minute decision once he realized that she had become entangled?

So, he hands her $125,000 and literally kisses her off. It’s a bit of a shock but he’s willing to hand her freedom to her. He finally listened to her.

Wow….maybe Sprocket will get a chance for freedom?

Silver is betting that faced with a choice Sprocket won’t be able to cut the umbilical cord.

Best thoughts to the latest shootings, and well wishes. I hope all here didn’t have a connection.

I think that Silver is “playing a heckava game” by standing in the theatre hallway with Tracy snooping around.

Is the movie over? Sprocket said it was their first and last date, not it is their first and last date.
