I hope Stephan notices he gets 90% negative comments with this tired and annoying “pun strip” format.
Also, how many “likes” my comment a few days ago got, when I pointed out that a variant “punny” strip was actually funny, and as close as he should get to a “pun strip” like this. It got a lot more love than this strip’s getting.
I happen to like Stephan’s puns. His problem is that the best ones need the elaborate build-up he can only do in the Sunday strips. Many of those are masterpieces.
@GARCOA: As long as gocomics refuses to incorporate likes into their determination of featured comments, I concur in the opinion that the best approach is still to not reply directly.
I find nothing wrong in the pun creations. It’s part of humanity, and obviously, of some animals. Let Pastis do his job as he sees fit. The disagreeables can always decline to click on the strip.
@sperry532 You didn’t take into consideration his plus/minus 2% accuracy range. Making the 89.275% three digit precision impressive, but pointless. Everyone knows you make up a stat using 4 digit decimal. I mean come on, anyone can do three digits!

This requires knowing how you are charged for dim sum which I suppose most people could guess given the context, but not everyone.

If they don’t let you leave until you pay, then the wrong sum on the dim sum will be a ransom.
