At first I was thinking this referenced The Grateful Dead’s song “Truckin’” … but then I did a Wikipedia search and realised it’s a pop culture reference to Robert Crumb:
Keep on truckin’, mama, truckin’ your blues away. Keep on truckin’, mama, truckin’ till the break of day.
Donovan 1965
Keep on Truckin’ is a one-page comic by Robert Crumb. It was published in the first issue of Zap Comix in 1968. A visual riff on the lyrics of the Blind Boy Fuller song “Truckin’ My Blues Away”,
Dr Albert Hoffman, the discoverer of LSD said they tried to find the death point of LSD. They were pumping pure LSD into a rabbit, but it did not die. The conclusion was that you cannot overdose to death on LSD.
The CIA’s MK-Ultra program experimented with a number of LSD derivatives in the 50s and 60s. Ken Kesey was an early and unwitting participant as was Robert hunter, a lyricist for the Grateful Dead https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_MKUltra https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Hunter_(lyricist)
