Tail docking and ear cropping both should be outlawed. But to their detriment, the AKC and American veterinarians have perpetuated this custom of butchery on dogs simply and completely for the sake of style. Extremely shameful. Also, cutting off horses and cows tails for sake of owner convenience should be a punishable crime, as well.
