Smart! My grandparents are silver-surfers, too. The difference is that Grandpa sometimes teacher my parents stuff!

And she puts it in a notebook made of paper.

My wife’s aunt married when they were both in their late 50’s. He died last year at 98. I didn’t know what he did really, but when we visited a few years ago, he would often be on his computer. He was a doctor-PHD. When reading his obituary it said:
“Beginning his career at the base in the 1940s, he became one of the world’s leading authorities on using large digital computers to solve critical scientific problems. He helped confirm the Earth’s pear-shaped gravitational field, which led to the development of the Global Positioning System.”
OK, I’m impressed.

gaebie - That does sound impressive! I think it is great that Tia Carmen is trying to learn computers. Unfortunately, she’ll probably be like a friend of my mom’s who never sends an original email, but only forwards emails that other people have sent her, including hoaxes. I sure wish someone would teach her how to remove all the previous headers first! But that might require her to use a keyboard, and I’m not sure she knows how. I sent her an email once with a question, and she replied via snail mail.

Ah… I see they use a mac. Definitely a “senior” computer!
(Really hip and groovy!)
