Parents, don’t waste your money giving your kids an overpriced education in underwater basket weaving and “pick-a-social-science”. Send your kids to a trade school and give them the foundation of a lifetime.
The thing with SOME people who never considered a trade school upon graduating from H.S., was they always thought themselves above a blue collar job. I always get a laugh when I pass some schmuck who’s still working late in life at a desk, were as I have retired at 58 from a Utility blue collar job.
In reality there’s no universal “right” career path. If a person has drive to do something, it doesn’t matter what color collar they’ll wear doing it. If you want to be a doctor and have means, go to school! If school’s not for you, apprentice up! If you want to work for yourself, find a niche in your community and fill it! The world is wide open, go do you!
Unless you’re born poor, in which case things are gonna be really tough. But you can still find something!Unless you also get sick or something.

Looking back he wondered why he didn’t take the plunge himself as all his great ideas went down the drain anyway.

If I had it to do over again, I would have become a plumber.

I’m not sure. Is the plumber’s union a wholly owned subsidiary of the mafia?

Make a career out of what makes you truly happy and you’ll never work a day in your life.
