Seems to me like hot flushes would be like a built-in Sitz Bath…
BTW, at a major company I worked for long ago, during shutdown one of our millwrights accidentally attached a compressed-air line to a water pipe while the systems were down.
When we opened back up, there was one old-timer who always flushed the toilet while he was sitting down.
I think it was a week before he could get his eyes to close…
I actually worked in a place once that had one toilet connected to the hot water line by mistake. It was… interesting. But they never thought it was worth fixing.
Ziggy’s does have two lines plumbed to it, so very strange.
When my folks built a house, one of the plumbers (family business) hooked up the basement toilet to hot water by mistake. My dad was too cheap to leave it that way, but I think I would have like to keep that seat heated!

I’m not going anywhere near the ‘M’ word. Maybe they’re just power surges.

Many possibilities here! :^)

Stay off of it when you flush it.

Never have seen a toilet with a hot AND cold water line to it. There’s never been any reason to ‘heat the load’.
Probably the source of your problem Zig. You don’t need a plumber, you just got your lines crossed!

Besides that, your toilet paper is hanging the wrong way.

Someone was very observant about the hot and cold water line–but they’re both there!

Try living in Texas, you can take a bath with what comes out of a garden hose. Solar heated.

johntull, if it’s connected to your toilet and the valve is turned on, you’re wasting hot water. (unless of course you use a bidet).

Yep, it’s an old, old toilet and it’s going through changes in its life.

Yep, that toilet must be at the right age. Just wait until the mood swings come Ziggy. You are going to need more than a Plumber.
