Brian Wilson God?

Mike Love may have a different opinion about that.

Better last words than “I left the oven on!” at least.

I don’t know if he’s just A god or THE God.

And for some reason, I now have a Barenaked Ladies tune stuck in my head.

I never did buy that Clapton is God.

Brian Wilson may be god, but he isn’t eternal. Saw him and his band perform “Pet Sounds” and many other classic tunes several months ago. The saddest concert I ever saw. His voice is shot. More croaking than singing. I hope he has enough self-awareness to realize that it is time to come off the road.

Why does anyone read this junk? (no I didn’t)

I’ll bet sales of this CD skyrocketed after this story arc first ran.

I’m probably a minority of one, but I can’t stand The Beach Boys

While I appreciate, to some extent, what a tortured and talented composer Wilson was, I have never been enamored with his music.

As written by Reza Azlan, “God” is just ourselves with supernatural powers.

…wouldn’t it be nice if we were older…

This moving series of strips was included (with permission of course) in the booklet to the Pet Sounds Sessions boxed set. I thought that was nice, kind of an acknowledgement from Brian.

And he’s not wrong!

Lots of people worship lots of different gods.

Don’t know about Brian Wilson being god. I remember John Lennon once telling all his bandmates that he was Jesus Christ. Granted, he was pretty tripped on acid at the time, but hang me if the dude wasn’t at least half-way convincing.

Let us hope he did write that just before he died, and not just after ..
