In the south Okanagan, where I used to live, every spring brought the waves of pollen from the Ponderosa pines that filled the valley. The lakes had a skim of yellow, until it got saturated and sank.
This year you could see the cedar trees quite literally explode with pollen. Even those of us without cedar fever have suffered. New classification of allergen levels – EXTREMELY HIGH.

That was year before last around here. You could see the yellow fog drifting off of the pine trees.
