Many couple finish each other’s sentences, but this is carrying it too far. Actually, Hubby and I sometimes do this sort of thing. “I was just about to say that.”
Other than oil changes, worn-out tires, battery, or washer blades, I don’t get my car “serviced” unless something breaks down on it or obviously needs service (squealing brakes, for instance). That principle has served me pretty well for 40 years of car owning, and is even more valid with today’s much-more-reliable cars. But I’m not criticizing those who get regular on-schedule maintenance— for many people that relieves anxiety and makes them feel better.

Janis must have been speaking in Charlie Brown’s Teacher dialect; Arlo got enough to save the conversation!

Arlo was on internal mode (one ear listening). Women always assume men are listening with both ears.

This is awesome. My wife and I do this all of the time. It just drives her nuts.

Men like to think all good ideas are their ideas.

How is that such a startling idea? For the last decade, cars will have a blinking notice on the dashboard that maintenance is required.
