And there is a good chance those old folks will be bored to death too. It is soccer.

Win? It’s soccer. There’s a good chance neither team will even score. Just how can the rest of the world love this game? And don’t get me started on them calling it “football.”

Soccer has been around a lot longer than ‘american football’ and had a lot more time to get acceptance. Actually without soccer and rugby we wouldn’t have football.

We actually had this situation with 14 year-olds. I have NEVER seen such effort put in by both sides!!

Football is played continuously with a round ball and with the feet. The US mutant is mostly played with the hands (but “handball” was already taken), with a very oblate spheroid, with most of the time spent standing around trying to decide what to do next. Boring is mostly in the minds of those who can’t appreciate subtlety. I find standing around rather boring.
