I spent a couple of hours searching for a tool the other day. I looked everywhere. I finally looked in the drawer of my tool bench where it belongs. ;-)
A friend recently related she was talking on the phone to another common friend when that friend started shouting to her husband “David where is my phone?”. Yep the phone pressed against her ear. True story.
My bother called me to tell me about a problem with his phone and said to hang on while he went and looked for his phone. I just waited until he realized he was talking to me on his phone. Had a good laugh over that.
My sister called me and as we were talking she was trying to find her phone and just couldn’t remember where she put it. I asked if it was the one she was using to talk to me. There was a pause…..the we both just burst out laughing.
In my mind, the phone and the computer part of my phone are two separate things. I will often set down the phone when reading on it or using an app, I can find my phone and make a call.

I’m sure this has happened to young whipper-snappers too.

Sometimes a tool I need is right on the workbench but I can’t see it until I shove it out of the way to look for it.

This is one of the funniest things Opal has done since getting her head stuck in the mailbox.

First she needs to find her glasses so she can look for her phone.

My Mom always used to say that. Thought it was a Midwest thing.

If I recall correctly Opel had the same conversation with her daughter at one time.
