Going to be another hot day today with temp in low 90’s.
We both had a good day yesterday as we went to the dermatologist for our annual skin check up. He looked us over and couldn’t find anything wrong and told us to come back next year. Now those are the kind of checkups we like.
Today we go to the chiropractor for our monthly adjustment and then home.
What we are going to do for the rest of the day who knows.
The Champlain Valley is under a heat advisory, heat index in the high 90s. The kingdom will be hot but not quite as bad.
I’ve got some traveling to do today, I need to find out what happened to my refrigerator repair man on Monday, and a few things to take care of in Newport.
44 right now, and is aiming for 78 this afternoon.
Jack finished moving all the logs so they’re easily accessible in the winter. At that time he’ll cut them down to shorter lengths. We have two rows of 20 inch (or so) stumps stacked in the garage, just waiting to be split. (see my avatar). Next week, he’ll call our tree guy for another delivery for later in the winter. I doubt that he’ll do much stacking and cutting of the new stuff.
Well, we were going to head to Hershey, PA today. Didn’t quite turn out that way. One of the slides will not retract so we can’t go anywhere. I have calls in to 4 different places to see if someone can help, but so far no calls back. We have managed to determine the “fault” in the system, but everything says we have to reset the fault in order to continue. The only problem is the recommended method for resetting doesn’t apply to our system. We have no clue how to reset. So we’re here for at least another day, maybe more. We’ll see.
I just heard back from one of the repair guys who said he will be here later this afternoon. He doesn’t have a replacement motor, but he will be able to manually override so we can get the slide retracted. Then we just won’t put it out again until we get back to Nevada and have it repaired.
The forecast for today is 92 and we are parked facing south, so the front end of this coach is warming up rapidly. (Pant, pant, pant)

Morning, Village!
Just a little bit of rain yesterday, and Gordon is hitting the coast around Biloxi, with category one hurricane force winds.
