We did get to Gettysburg yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed the day. We bought one of the auto tour CD’s and followed that path. It was supposed to take about 2 1/2 hours, but we ended up spending almost 6. If all you did was drive and listen to the CD guide, I suppose you could squeeze it into 2 1/2 hours, but everywhere we stopped we wanted to get out and see more of each area. And, of course, in the middle of the whole thing, the fuel light came on and the batteries died in the CD player. So we took a break, refilled both and found a great tavern/restaurant for lunch. I didn’t count that time in the 6 hours. We have had so much fun on these battlefield tours, both here and in Virginia.
Did you know that there are over 1300 monuments and memorials all over the battlefield at Gettysburg? There are so many!!! Everywhere you look there are rows of statues, pylons, colonnaded structures or plaques. Way too much in my opinion. A lot of them were just in the way of viewing the battlefield itself.
Not much on the agenda for today, a bit of shopping and perhaps another visit to the hot tub.
Just a little bit of rain yesterday. Enough to make everything hot and muggy. I’m preaching again tomorrow at Hardin. And we’ve got out grandson visiting us this weekend. God is good!

Good morning Vagabonds.
The cool weather is going to continue over the weekend with temp in low 70’s today and high 60’s on Sunday.
Don’t know what is going on today except going to church at 4 p.m.
I’ll think of something.
May you all have a good, peaceful day.

Sunshine on the western ridge but it’s not shinning here just yet.
My normal Saturday of grocery shopping in the morning and TV in the afternoon. What an exiting life. (x.x)
May the good Lord bless and keep you.
Live Long and Prosper. (just had to through in a little Vulcan for you)
See ya in the funny papers. ;-)

Good Balmy morning, Vagabonds,
56 right now and 88 yesterday! But, it’s only supposed to get to 78 today. We had a T-storm blow through last night, but we didn’t get a drop.
I gotta rush. Cleaning lady comes today. The house is picked up, and it’s time to get my act together.
xoxo Happy Trails.
