I love this! Adoring Lupin’s vintage 1920ish look in the first panel—that microphone is spot on! And I want to hear about Dustbuster, Son of Vacuum! So much to love about these October Sunday stand alone strips with the Boys all cozy telling tales around the space heater.
Sorry I missed you & “the Man” yesterday on “TWITCH” ! Loved your BCN/TWITCH Hangouts, and hoping for more, if you have a mind. It was neat to see all of you and learn a bit about the BCN production and back-story.
Seriously, I may have to have this one. First, Elvis channeling Edward R. Murrow, then Lupin’s Dr. Frankenhoover, but the ROFL image is lil’ Pucky as the tattered and bent Igor… OMC This is a keeper!
Tre-C watched from the stage as the entire room of cats turned in unison to the source of the shouted words, then toward the main door. And slowly, like a lava floe, the cats moved through the club en masse. Toward the exit, ears back, tails down, they were knocking tables aside and trampling barriers. The Abby grabbed at Tre-C, but she spun out of his grip. Then, with a little dance move of her own, she knocked him back down the open trap door, closed it, and slid a chair on top to assure he’d stay put for at least a few minutes. Megan was ushering the crowd outside and back to relative sanity. When she was certain the bulk of the crowd was safe, Megan turned to Tre-C and was immediately put on red alert. From the back of the room came two largish alleycats (emphasis on “alley”) of undetermined breed. Behind the “mutts” walked a decidedly irate black and white Tom with a distinct marking on his underside… a jet black bow tie.
Good morning and happy Sunday/Bunday, orbsters and orbabies. Lupin’s little fangs in the last panel are just too adorable.
On another note, Richard, Pam’s heart-son, has her cats at his place and is going to try to introduce them to his cats today. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that Pam’s kids have found a forever home!
Off Topic: According to BCN Website, yesterday was Elvis’s Tenth Birthday! There are lots of adorable pictures of baby Elvis on display (Shhh, don’t let Elvis know)
Other than roasting hot dogs and marshmallows what is more traditional than telling ghost stories around the campfire while camping? This was a good touch Georgia!
Although I too love “Young Frankenstein” when I saw today’s strip my first thought was of Colin Clive. All the boys look good in their 1931 personas—especially radio reporter Elvis.
October when the boys get into the spirit of scare the pants off of you too. Poor Puck though he doesn’t need any help being scared by Lupin’s stories.
Puck-Igor in panel 4 not only has a hump, but also but a single fang. And I love his tattered clothing. And is that ::gasp:: an ironing board lab bench?!
Thank you Georgia for the “memory” bump to all the old “B-Horror” movies I’ve enjoyed (thanks to the dvd by mail service). This made me think of the old Frankenstein movies, Young Frankenstein, and even Frankenweenie (Burton’s homage). I’m getting in the Halloween mood (which I was having trouble getting into…)

Poor Puck; even the Sunday break from continuity offers no respite.

Darn it, Lupin! Now Pucky won’t get his eighteen hours of sleep! At least we got to see the cutest mad scientist ever. Dr. Frankencat, I presume…

Son of Vacuum! Puck and Buzzy with the blanket pulled up are so adorably frightened.

I would love to hear more of Lupin’s Tales of Scary Stuff!
Robin Harwood about 6 years ago
Scary stories told in black and white, with appropriate 1930s mikes and hunchbacked Igor. Poor Puck.

Ok, so does this mean on Sundays we’re getting the 2018 Halloween special and on every other day the untold 2016 Halloween special?
knight1192a about 6 years ago
Oh, another question. Does Puck’s hump move and does he say “There wolf. There castle.” too?

“Dustbuster:Son of Vacuum!” Does that mean the baby vac from the epic battle of the vacuum was a boy?

Hmmm, even the space heater looks a little blasé about this tale.
cat19632001 about 6 years ago
Easy Lupin, don’t scare Puck too much. That picture of the monster in the last panel might be too much in one night.
On the other paw, the fangs are darling.

Obviously the vacuum tale is terrifying. The story could have the boys… swept up in it.
