I’m with you Cosmo. A veggie burger is not real food.

I’m happy for all the vegetarians and vegans. They can have all the veggie-stuff they want, that’s more meat for me.

Hey Cosmo — try the Keto diet. You can have all the meat and fat you want — just stay away from the carbs. I’ve lost 10 pounds in the last month.

Meh, I used to think veggie burgers were pathetic. Then I ordered a Garden burger not knowing it was meatless and it actually fooled me for a full two bites. Still nothing to go nuts over, but I decided to always give new versions a try. So far the best imitators I’ve tried are Beyond burgers and seitan patties. Tempeh is quite tasty and I hear good things about mycoprotein such as Quorn. I’m hoping to try insect protein soon, and I still have my fingers crossed to taste lab-grown meat… at least when it’s available for less than $100/lb.
