Mom let us bang pot lids. We did a lot of cool stuff that would get us in trouble these days.

We used to bang pot lids too way back when.

Try waking a sound-asleep kid up at midnight to bang pot lids. They’re about as groggy as a bear in January.

We did the banging of pots on the 4th of July. We didnt have to be awakened at midnight for that.

Like Sally Brown, Alice doesn’t want to be accused of taking part in a rumble.
