This reminds me of when I was about 8. I would make a small “newspaper” for my older brother. The first page was “Front Page News”, which I’d take off of the regular newspaper; the second page would be Local News; third, sports; fourth, weather; fifth, comics. I’d then deliver it to his room. I don’t remember how long I did it, but I did it for a while.
I’m a gnu I’m a gnu // The g-nicest work of g-nature in the zoo // I’m a gnu? how do you do? // You really oughtta g-know w-who’s w-who // I’m a gnu? spelt G – N – U // I’m not a camel or a kangaroo //
Sounds like Tim Sample’s humor. Sample is a Maine humorist, Downeast Maine humor in fact. Meaning his routines are typically centered around life in Maine. He once joked that his humor was such that you might not immediately get the joke at one of his shows, but two or three hours later you’ll find yourself laughing for no appearent reason.

Love it..

I see a future for him in comics. He just needs to “refine” it a little, make it about a pig, and a rat… and maybe a goat.

Years later C. Brown turns into R. Crumb and the rest is history.

My type of humor is too subtle for reality.

When I was a teenager, I started to draw political cartoons. Unfortunately, the local newspaper didn’t accept political content.

Sorry, CB, it wasn’t that funny. But keep trying.

I am so glad that she didn’t laugh and thus ended Charlie Brown’s short lived pun attempt. Way too many of those on GoComics already!

OK. I always read a Random comic after each day’s current strip. On this one, the Random was the exact same as the original. What are the chances??
