I was in a production of Fiddler on the Roof years ago. For those not familiar with the story, there is a wedding scene, where several men in top hats balance wine bottles on top of their hats as they dance. In our production, we had double faced tape on top of the hats to keep the bottles in place.
Two minutes before that scene, the tape came off of one of the dancer’s hats, and he had to actually balance the bottle. He succeeded, which saved the scene, but I was still hacked off, because I didn’t like the guy, heh.
When I was in Boot Camp, we had to stand at attention with our arms straight out in front of us with the palms down, with our M-14 rifles laying on top of our hands. It weighed about 8.5 lbs. There was Hell to pay if you dropped that rifle.
