Charlie Brown, you blockhead, you should know better than to accept something form Lucy!

This is why Lucy refuses to eat anything someone else has touched. She never washes her own hands and assumes they don’t either. Reminds me of when my grandmother came to live at our house, mom discovered that her way of “washing her hands” was dibbling her fingers under the tap, no soap involved. When mom called her on it, she said, “But I’m not dirty!”

Then in a later strip, Pig Pen offered Charlie Brown a piece of candy.

Could be worse. If she carried ‘em in her pocket, they’d be black.

If she’d licked all the red off them, they would be pink.

Too bad the beans weren’t yellow colored with a taste and stench of urine.

Being a candy hound is tough. We can’t say no!!
