Why would an amphibian want to hold its bladder for that long? To maintain its hydration?

At least in the 70s the doctor’s mistakes were buried quicker…

Who funded a study of how long a frog can hold it? And who cares.

I once held my bladder through the entire movie Titanic after drinking a 32 oz. Big Gulp. Do you realize how much running water is in that movie?

It took them until the 70s to stop ambulance crews from an obvious conflict of interest.

Ambulances back then did not the life saving features of today’s first responders. Their primary feature was a siren and oxygen. They picked you up and tried to get you to the hospital as quickly as they could. Other than first aid they had no life saving equipment like modern ambulances. I just happened that a hearse made a good ambulance so the funeral homes just used the hearse for their side job. You had to be sure not to have an accident or heart attack while the hearse was busy at a funeral. Those were the good old days.

I had a part-time job with a local undertaker in my home town. At that time, his hearse ( a 1973 Pontiac Bonneville ) was also used as an ambulance. This was before the advent of County EMT service.

I don’t know which is worse, that I remember my early days as a paramedic using funeral home ambulances after the city took over EMS but before the city’s new ambulances arrived from the manufacturer, or that I’m old enough that something I actually did made RBION…

Actually it was before the 70s, I had already left my hometown in the early 60s and they were used then – the nearest hospital was 3 miles away – next town. If that vehicle was not available – they would sometimes use the top of the ladder fire engines to get you there [so you could be laid out flat]. We had only one police vehicle – so they couldn’t leave. Small towns are great.

Not sure if I get the shaved head trend…maybe if everyone did it then hair styles wouldn’t be a distraction?

Funeral homes operating ambulance services? Definite conflict of interest I’d say.
