We would gently towel dry our doggy. He was fussy about having his paws touched. We were lucky that the back door led into the tiled laundry, so it was an easy clean up.

Dad owns the keys and the deed to the house. Come back and talk to us after you’ve won the lottery, Sophie.

Dad doesn’t smell like wet and muddy dog. Besides, he has the keys to the door. He kinda let’s himself in.

Sorry but this is her job too, get off you patootie and get a towel and dry the dog off. We had towels by our dogs for when we took them out to do their business and so they weren’t wet dried them off before we went inside.

First Sophie needs to shake it off then someone to gently towel her dry.

Daddy takes his boots off at the door. You can’t do that, Sophie.

If Sophie is wet and muddy, it must be wet and muddy outside. If she’s anything like my Moxie leaving her out will result in her being MORE wet and muddy. Moxie gets let into the garage first so I can towel her down and wipe her feet, then she can come in the rest of the house. If she’s soaking she may wait in the garage a while if it isn’t too cold.
