Back in 1996 I got a virus at work. Since then I’ve been very vigilant – and haven’t had one since.
Anti-virus and malware software is necessary. However, there is no substitute for common sense and good computing habits. If you don’t want to get mugged, stay out of bad neighborhoods. Be careful where you browse and who you invite though the front door when you download.
Our regional daily stopped coming down here in print some time ago, so don’t know their status on Wiley, but Lucy is ridding herself of what passes for brains in those offended by what was in the strip I couldn’t make out without magnification, and someone pointing it out. Which, considering Bonespurs came up with viler comments in his announcement of “emergency”, and daily comes up with lies more dangerous and offensive than Lucy or Wiley can produce, how about EVERY NEWS SOURCE IN AMERICA STOP COVERING BONESPURS!!
Save ink, save stress, BAN BONESPURS from coverage in any medium! He’ll quit in a week with a paralyzed ego.
The cowardly L.A. Times and San Diego Union also made prim statements and deleted the comic. It took someone with very good eyes who voted Republican to blow the whistle on this mistake. Wiley has apologized profusely, but I guess that’s not enough to satisfy some.
While I despise the f-word (I think it’s a sign of the decay of civilization), I think all this controversy has been blown way out of proportion. I think Wiley Miller handled it quite tastefully. He could have written it out in big, bold red letters, but did he? No, he wrote it barely legible, as small as possible, barely noticeable. I certainly didn’t notice it. Second, Trump has said far worse things, so it is justified in a sense. (The old saying “fight fire with fire” comes to mind.) I’m sure if he had used a phrase less offensive (e.g. “drop dead, Trump”) he would have still come under fire. I’m not happy that my newspaper dropped Non Sequitur. At least I can still read it online.
To those ‘public organs’ who dropped Mr Wiley’s strip for the ‘F-word’ and it’s connection to the Oaf of Office, it appears Dolt45 knows and freely uses such grammar on TV…so doubtless has been repeated or referred to by many of those very “Family-Friendly” publications. I’m grateful that gocomics continues to run Non Sequitur. My local paper is in the process of purging it from
our precious , innocent eyes because Wiley had the audacity to criticize Captain Bonespurs in a vulgar manner.
the way they did it this morning was to print the name Non Sequitur and then leave a white blank where today’s
comic would appear.

so I just discovered the cowardly Boston Globe dropped your strip. I’m also grateful it’s here… the Globe probably got inundated by trolls and caved.
