I don’t recall Billy Joel mentioning the condition of the state owned vehicles there and my entire knowledge of Allentown comes from that song, so I’ll have to take your word for it.

Come on Sam, let Charlene get at your vehicles! You know she’s a wizard mechanic!

Working on older vehicles is more fun. Less hoses and junk to remove or move out of the way to get to the broken stuff.

She’s going to make it even better out of spite

I find it so strange that cities have to pay for their own fire brigade. In France it is a national organisation, with our taxes paying for all the fire brigades everywhere.
