Where else can you be wrong over 50% of the time and still keep your job?
Weatherpersons would be better at forecasting the weather if they had offices with windows
Weather forecasters never use that forbidden number. Their probabilities always jump from 40% to 60% because 50% means maybe it’ll rain, and maybe it won’t.
We call them LBOS’s in our house…..lying buckets of ****
My daughter and I went to an Indycar race in St Petersburg, FL. The weather man said 50% chance of rain.
Rained for the first 55 laps. Sun for the last 55 laps.
Nailed it!
Tonight’s forecast..Dark. Followed by scattered light in the morning. (John Coleman).
Bad weather always looks worse through a window.
Sixty percent of the time the weatherman is right every time.
Actually, weathermen are, on average, correct over 80% of the time.
Does that mean the actual chance of rain is only 25%?
