E & I investigations is on the case! So the killer likes to use the garrote. Very personal might make it a very personal crime. Unlike a rifle say or poison. The killer was very close in their face possibly. The Thugge would kill with a silk garrote.
Great visual variety: overhead shot of the crime scene, descending trio of faces, and a close up of Lee Ebony. The MCU is on the case. Tar will regret the day he did violence in Tracyville.
So, is the number 7 consistently on all of the victims, or does the number change, increasing with each successive victim? In other words, are they all labeled ‘7’, in which case it’s the number itself that has significance, or are we counting victims, and this poor woman was the seventh victim… and the number will presumably keep climbing until DT (or E & I) stop its horrific upwards trend? I don’t think we know yet, so stay tuned!
The previous victim we saw was a tied up man. Tar apparently enticed his latest victim by making a date with her. Tar said he likes a “certain type of lady,” does he also like a “certain type of man?” If not then he apparently has multiple ways to make contact with his victims and his preference in women becomes less of an item in determining his pattern and M.O. But because of his brother’s concern, he has apparently used the date method before.
Alternative Script: 1- DT: What’s going on here? DAUGHTER: Nothing Dad. The paparazzi are just practicing in case someone important comes out. 2- PAPARAZZI: Could you hold this miss. Cardi B carries her purse inside a zip-lock bag now and we might be able to fake some pics of you as Cardi B if you don’t mind. 3- DAUGHTER: I would a never thought of putting my purse in a zip-lock bag! I guess that’s why you really have to be an artist to get famous these days. (DT OFF PANEL): Some people say I favor Mick Jagger. How about…whadaya mean “who’s that?”
If Tracy, Sam, Lizz are members of their department’s MCU (Major Crimes Unit) how come there is no CSI? It looks like the regular police officers are doing double duty when they have to take pictures of the crime scene.
I have been referring to our serial killer as “The Butcher,” because he is, so I thought, a knife-killer. That seemed to be implied in the scene with the victim tied in a chair early on in this story. But now Lee Ebony tells us this victim was garroted, “like the previous [which?] victim.” Same killer, different methods? Same method, different killers? Both Tar brothers, each with his own method?
Things just got a bit more confusing. But the MCU will, I’m sure, press on!

“Garroted like the previous victim”? Going back to that interjected scene during the last arc, we are shown a knife.
Do we have a secondary, yet undiscovered, killer doing business in Tracy Town?

Here’s an interesting article about the history and accuracy of fingerprinting and DNA in crime scene investigations from the Smithsonian magazine:

Villain: A “7”? Can’t those nitwit cops see that’s a “Z”?
Henchman: Uh, boss… don’t "Z"s have two horizontal bars?Villain: [looks at template, shoots #1 Henchman, hands template to #2 Henchman]: Fix this.
