Uh, that’s not how it works, Tiffany. The job isn’t Les’s to give.

Tiffany, leave Les alone. There is an opening for a dishwasher. You can apply for it. You’ll make an enemy of Les if you take his job and you don’t want Les as an enemy. He will be vicious and sic Ann on you.

Hmmmm. Methinks that Tiffany is going to talk Les into taking that dishwasher job ( so she doesn’t ruin her precious nails) while she takes HIS job bussing tables and working the cashier register. Verdad over at Arcamax, seems to think that Tiffany will offer Les 1/3 to 1/2 of the tips she collects, in exchange for his “sacrifice. I’m thinking that Les will insist, in addition, “exclusively” to Tiffany. In other words, Tiff being Les’ “friend with benefits.”

And while I find this whole “Unholy Alliance” GAG-Worthy, I hope Les still has a job. The LAST thing Gunther needs is Les hanging out at the Gulag 24/7……,

Lessee here. Tiffany just had her nails done to the tune of $95. Taking the dishwasher’s job would ruin her nails. Taking Les’ job as a server wouldn’t ruin her nails, but give a better chance to show them and herself off. Not only is that being thrifty by preserving that nail job, but smart in getting lover/loser boy to give her the better job so she can achieve her goal faster. Man, that gal’s on the ball, undaunted, and really showing some brain here. She’s the best!

BTW, Tiffany, when it comes time to reciprocate for what Les will give up, just allow him to kiss the back of your hand like a princess should. No more, no Les. He can take care of himself at home later where Gunther and Bets can walk in on him.

The only thing I can understand is Chubby Cheeks is making a demand of Rat Face.

There are many problems with this idea not the least of which is that everyone at the Fuse knows Tiffany and knows she is a terrible worker.

Read some early comments at ArcaMax as have at least MD. I kind of see the logic in getting Les to take dishwashing and bussing, while she takes his job, essentially being a server. That could be right up her alley, and given her personality as compared to sour puss might be a real advantage for the Fuse. I still hesitate though to agree that it will be a friend with benefits, or boyfriend-girlfriend reward for Les, but maybe some version of that might be in mind. Les is estranged from his mom, Tiffany is separated from her already attenuated dad, by Les’s mom, Ann “Evil” Eiffel. What could possibly go wrong? Hilarity will ensue though.

This is like, “Give me $100 and somebody will probably bring you $200.”

Just say no, Les. Seriously, Les is a jerk, but his life is full of sadness. Thanks to this job he has find friends, happiness, satisfaction and a bit of redemption. Tiffany’s request sounds really unfair! And I strongly doubt that Uncle Al will be happy.

Just because you have a plan, Tiff, does not mean it is a good plan.

My immediate response would have been, " How is this helping you? And why would I want to do that?" “Be VERY specific.”

Once Ann Eiffel hears of this, she will try to get Tiffany’s dad to buy the Fuse for her ( that way she owns Tiffany, Leslie, and her brother, Mr. Gray, causing a direct confrontation with Mr. Gray. TJ still has her confession tape and Ox got his lawyer dad or uncle to get something on her once to stop a lawsuit she filed.

A few impressions right off the top:

1) Well that caused Les to take a step back!

2) Ooooo… This could be costly! For both Tiff and Les! Each in a different way!

3) I go way back to the after-dinner ride home with Gunther. After Gunther warned her about Les’ motives, Tiff said “I can handle Les.” Well, we may be about to see just how she meant that.

He did say “Anything you want” in yesterday’s edition. Now she wants something.

Considering the strip’s long time concern in maintaining upright, family friendly stories, Tiffany will not use anything overtly sexual in her negotiating. She may offer to be his girlfriend and they may hold hands in public, but no bedroom action. However, Ann will maintain control over her father by using any technique at her disposal. She has him by the short hairs.

Heh! Sounds like Tiffany has a plan, and if she runs true to devious form, Les will probably be happy to help out, especially if it means not working/getting back at Ann.

Tiffany needs a mentor…a GOOD one, who can channel her drive and energies in a positive direction. Seemingly, for her to listen, it would have to be a strong female entrepreneur.

What exactly do you think he job duties are? Why would management let you step into his job?

And why, exactly, can’t Tiffany go to Weenie World, Burger Box, Taco Town, or any of the other fine dining establishments in Pitts and apply for a job working behind the counter there? It’s not as if there’s no turn-over in the fast-food industry. Why does she have to be a waiter at Kafe Kablooie? Considering the number of students at Moony Uni, there must be a lot of places in town that hire those students for part-time jobs, not just in the food industry but in various retail establishments, so why can’t she just be like everyone else and get one of them? Maybe it would be more nearly in line with her business ambitions to get a job selling cosmetics in a department store?

This could be interesting.

My computer fried last Wednesday. I bought a new one, but I needed to backtrack and see what I missed.

Dear God… I see a smidgen of logic in Tiffany’s crazy scheme! Tiffany knows she needs a job to have her own income. She could go to a salon and receive on-the-job training, but she’ll risk having Ann Eiffel as a regular customer expecting Tiffany to give her the royal treatment or she’ll complain to management and Tiffany’s father.

On the other hand, Tiffany knows the best place to get a job is at The Fuse, knowing Ann will not risk bringing up the Soufflé Lingerie scam. It will be like a sanctuary. And Tiffany does have some experience in being a waitress.

But perhaps Uncle Al would be the better person to talk to than his sleazy nephew…

But first, she must become a Jedi.

In an effort to maintain the dignity of this forum, and respect the needs of both the NASCAR fans and the most well informed of the Luann fans, I boldly submit my request to Greg: Somebody better be knocked up by the end of this year.

So far she doesn’t seem to have much of a plan. Unless Les has lied and told her he makes a six figure salary!! Otherwise why ask for his job?

So far, Tiffany is leaving Leslie dazed and confused. I hope she knows what she is doing….

Tiffany doesn’t mean permanently give her his job. She has a plan that she is about to reveal.

Oh, Tiff. Just apply. If they can use the help, they might even hire you. And then you’ll learn that serving at a restaurant won’t make you wealthy, even with tips. Also, what if Ann comes in for a meal? Then you’ll have to serve her! Imagine how she’d like that!
