Good fences make good neighbors?
I’d like to know how she gets them synchronized.
I know these are repeats, but do we have to see ALL of them?
Happy retirement, Jerry.
Whatever you do, don’t kick the phonograph player. If it starts skipping, you could kick till you drop.
From the size of it, I’d guess that’s a 45RPM record player, although I don’t see the special insert needed to make those records play correctly on a 78 & 33-1/3 spindle.
Finally we get to see Mrs Nimmers in full color.
It’s amazing the advances in technology that have happen in the past few years.
I’ll thank you not to share any more secrets.

What’s really disturbing is what Mr Nimmers does with the chorus girls.
I was going to complain about the phonography but I just can’t look away.
So this is how Mrs Nimmers stays in such good shape! It’s Okay. What happens in the basement, stays in the basement.
I remember this one!
If I remember correctly, Mrs. Nimmers pulled something and her days as a member of the Rockettes were over before they began.
And that bathing suit would benefit from underwires…..
I remember this one too!
In fact…. Those were the days when StelBel and I both did a lot of work altering pictures and posting them here….
some were even Ballard St strips (sorry Jerry)… but never in a disrespectful way.
I remember we both tried “turning” the picture to show the view from behind…
I never finished “moving” the record player … so I don’t know whether I ever posted mine.
But heck… I’ll do it now.

LOL
Liverlips, et al…
I kinda think they’re 2D plywood cutouts, so she can just pretend they’re doing whatever she does….
Did I say “pretend”?
I mean…. um… they’re always doing whatever she does.
In any case, for this picture, she posed in a matching kick.
Farside… looks like 78’s to me. Too much recording area for 45’s and the tone arm looks old.
A bit small but blame cartoon perspective?
And Mr. Sherman… maybe you were just joking….
but if not…. it’s only day three!
How would you decide what to show?
Personally, I love this one…
but then, I love most of ’em.
Down in the Ballard Street Red Windmill and laundry room…..
Very sad to learn that Jerry is retiring. Not that he doesn’t deserve it, but oh, I’m going to miss Ballard Street.
If you crossed kick line dancers with poiuyts [aka blivets], chorus line dancers would look like this…

I was wondering why the LA Times dropped this strip… think I know why now!
And the secret life of Mr. Nimmers involves a lot of Brain Bleach and a good set of ear-plugs…
Noreen Nimmers is still “high stepping” on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Ballard’s Ballet and Burlesque, Bolero Ballroom & Bowling Alley
Which one is Mrs. Nimmers?
just kidding!
mr_sherman: Feel free to go away.
Dear lord, must we endure Mrs. Nimmers private activities?
OMG!!!
