Poor Uncle Joe. He is taking an awful haranguing lately — one that’s way out of proportion to his supposed crimes. I mean, when you contrast him with an A-list sex offender like Harvey Weinstein or total jerk-off like Louis CK, he’s not even in the same galaxy.
It’s time for women to start dealing with the here-and-now, not litigating unwelcomed attentions their silence heretofore has only facilitated and encouraged.
Andrew & wcorvi: I don’t think anyone is claiming Biden’s actions rise to the level of Weinstein, Louis CK, Cosby, or for that matter Clinton, Franken, or Trump.
But for some claimants, the actions do constitute unwanted contact. His excuse is basically that he comes from an era where women were mostly silent on this level of unwanted contact, therefore he assumed he could act as he always has done. Sorry, no longer the case, and men better get used to it.
Young Lady, beware any man who uses the word “untodawardable.” Do this as you should a man who puts on Beethoven’s Emperor Concerto as you sit down to wine and cheese. Such fellows are not up to good.
