I’m not sure how the rabbit’s foot became a good luck charm, but this is a true story. A friend of mine was working in France for a year, and one Saturday he was at the local street market where some vendors had skinned rabbits for sale hanging on a rack. He noticed that each rabbit still had one foot attached with a bit of white fur around it. At work the next Monday he asked his French co-workers about it, and they replied, “That’s so you can tell it’s a rabbit and not a rat.”

I haven’t seen an actual “Lucky” Rabbit’s Foot since the 80s.
As a lot of people say, “It wasn’t lucky for the rabbit, was it?”

You got a raw deal, little buddy. That Margery Williams, she’s a real jerk … treated her employees like … well, animals.
