I’m surprised Elvis doesn’t have one of those vinyl clip board type folders designed to hold legal pads. I love Puck’s sticky notes. My favorite is “Do people have names.” I can’t read the last word on the one that starts out, “What’s so great about…”
I love the way Georgia added Beatrix to this story line. The original appeared about 4 months before Beatrix arrived. I’m beginning to understand why Georgia left it until now.
I wish I could organize my sticky notes! They just accumulate till they cover the desk and the edges of the monitor. Elvis, I tried your solution but I could never find the pad when I needed it!
Inspiration from a newsreader? Newsreaders are chosen because they look good and can read the nonsense put in front of them as though they really believed it. Anything they are inspired to say won’t be worth the ink needed to write it.
I just want to give everyone a virtual bear hug today and make sure you all know just how precious and dear you all are to me. We’ve been losing too many good people to the clutches of death lately and it’s important to cherish our friends now while we still can no matter what our differences nor the fact that we’ll probably never meet irl. ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((all))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Wonderful visit yesterday with my new little fur-nephew! TJ is full of pep, loves to unravel yarn, play with his stuffed mousie, explore his new & exciting domain, watch the birds eat their “sand”, and receive an abundance of loving rubs, pets & scritches.
He took to me right away! Totally into people, though not crazy about being picked up (might be a reaction to unhappy things). Not the least bit afraid of hands, a champion of “ankle reinforcement”, and teeny (though we found he’s about 3 y.o.), compared to my little linebacker-like Dusty.
And what a cute little face! And adorable little white mittens! It was love at first sight for me. Has a tendency to nip when too stimulated, but firm “NO!’s” and briefly ignoring him seems to be sinking in.
I was the first visitor since Sis adopted him, so it was to be expected he’d be excited. We are absolutely stoked at bringing TJ into the our family orb!
Thank you, each and every one, who offered good advice, boops, prayers, kindnesses and gifts of the heart! ♥♥♥ Blessings to all the Mega Orb!!!! ♥♥♥
I love that Buzzy Mouse has a little exclamation point above its head and that it has turned to look at the notes.
On another matter. It has been years since we had a Kitten in the house, since Giblet, who is 6-1/2 years old. Let me tell you what I/we have forgotten…
*Having my feet attacked in bed at about 3:00 a.m.
*4:00 a.m. Cat Opera – Belle loves to sing the Aria.
*Having the toilet paper unwound in the bathroom.
*Opening my eyes and being nose-to-nose with a furry face.
*Giblet having his poor tail attacked, and then the culprit running away before he can turn around.
*A Kitten’s nose checking out the cereal bowl while eating.
Belle is certainly not shy anymore. And I have forgotten how fearless Kitten’s can be. Giblet, after grooming out kitten teeth marks on his tail, looks at us and says:
“Really? You really had to bring that little hellion home?”
Looks like everyone’s favorite junior alpha female is developing unfavorable opinions about our boys’ organizational habits. Can’t wait to see what she has to say tomorrow.
I can relate to Puck’s wall of sticky notes! Former Sig. Other & I used to watch TV late at night, & the wall next to my side of the bed was covered with funny lines I’d jotted down. I’ve also been known to add lines from books I’m reading.
Noticed Puck’s note “What’s so great about thumbs?”, and the fact that he appears to have at least one thumb in the last panel.
As for Lupin, a pet peeve about people is the ones who could always use a pen but never have one of their own. I’d be willing to make an exception for cats, but cats who wear little suits have no excuse for not having a pen or mechanical pencil plus notepad in one of the pockets.
I’m posting this in the “root” discussion. Tell Mrs. Skykey’s sister that I have a document collecting all the Tre-C and Megan adventures (I think it’s all of them, anyway). I can either post it on Mediafire and put a link here, or she can send a note to lonespaceranger@gmail.com and I will send it back.
Feeding time today. The mouse was named Smackrel and was just what Pandora wanted. She made a good strike and didn’t flinch when the mouse came out of its stun and started twitching. She seems to have turned the corner on not eating.
And our new boy kitty has rejected the name Router and seems to prefer Wi-Fi. He turns his head when I call him Wi-Fi so maybe that will stick. He ran away into our backyard today because a large dog came into the front yard. He’s now back on the front porch where he seems most comfortable. Tomorrow, we will try to get him into a carrier so we can take him to the pound and find out if he is chipped. If he isn’t, then next week we will take him to the vet and find out if he has anything wrong other than poor nutrition and other hazards of being a stray. If he gets a clean bill of health, we may try introducing him to the indoor kitties.
Warning to everybody: one of my daughter’s cats has been under the weather, not eating, horking to no avail, and growling. X-rays were inconclusive, but the medicine helped. He finally threw up a furball, laced with packing tape.

Puck should know people have names. The ghost cats referred to their woman as “Freddie” and “Winnefred Quinn”

Puck, surely you can imagine how much easier it would be to hold that pencil if you had thumbs.

I’ve seen those American pads. They are misnamed. That horrible yellow colour should be illegal.
