St. Pete and Montreal could split the difference and build a new stadium in Richmond, VA. Why Richmond? Because it’s the closest city of any real size to the midpoint between St. Petersburg and Montreal.
Didn’t the Expos leave because Montreal was not a viable baseball town? Or do I have my facts wrong? I don’t follow sports closely and it’s entirely possible I am mistaken.
Let’s see…half of home plate, first base, half of second, and from dead-center over to right field in (let’s say) St. Pete, and the left half in Montreal…it’s gonna be real tough on pitchers and catchers, though.

Tank, even (most) sports fans know where Montreal is.

Half a stadium is a good idea; to seat half a crowd.

A new field in each city? Now, that’s chutzpah! Just what does the team bring to the table for that extravagance?

When a stadium (or two in this case) is built with public funds, does that count as Socialism?

Miami builds one half and Montreal builds the other.
