Then there’s the Dark Matter Dustpan. Or the ISS (Interstellar Sanitation Service). Just stretch out a huge net. When it’s full, propel it into the Sun. Or land it on the moon so we can sort it all out when we get there. Or shove each piece towards Earth, let it burn up in the atmosphere. Hire me, I’ll go do it…

A giant electromagnet would gather in all the iron (except stainless steel). There’s just no getting around the broom, actually. Even that would be awkward. If you take a swipe at a big piece of junk, you fly off in the opposite direction. That can be fun sometimes, but not for long. Maybe a bunch of giant sandworms. Yeah, that sounds good to me. I’ll submit it in the contest for best cleanup idea.

iRobot Satellite capture system (Autonomous robot) Only 10 billion dollars. Drops captured space junk at moon recycling center (to be built at a later time for a small additional cost)

Dr Mel, the evil scientists they use. (we found out when they made a portal to an opposite dimension where their Dr Mel is a nice person.)

A good laser vaporizing the debris would probably take less energy than going to each piece and collecting it. The solar wind could blow the dispersed atoms away.
