    I hated it, too. But I had a step-daughter who enjoyed being tickled! I’d tickle for about five seconds and then pause. This gave her time to catch her breath and use the code word for “I’ve had enough of this for now, so please stop it.”

    In a previous marriage my stepdaughter LIKED being tickled! But she had a code phrase to use when she wanted me to stop tickling and, if she used it, I stopped.
