“Dressing for success”… oh, boy

You may be right. Gunther and Les: G&K seem to like that formula.

Too good to be true department: Why hasn’t Bets left, screaming at the top of her lungs, pulling her hair out?

It appears Tiffany isn’t as afraid of the class. Compared to when we first saw her. I think Bets calmed her down.

Guess she’s a born translator for her blonde client. Bets enjoys the challenge.

What the heck kinda class was Dr. Fabbi teaching over the Summer? I mean, nobody says that learning can’t be “fun.” But you’d think that Dr. Fabbi would have at least PREPARED her students for what coming in the Fall. Namely, THIS class.

And don’t look now, but Tiffany SURVIVED the first day of class thanks to Bets. Tiffany should keep taking those "baby-steps, show each day for class, and stick close to Bets, because Encouraging good friends are hard to find.

But all in all, not bad for two ladies that started out giving each other the evil eye this Summer, uh? Not Bad at all……, :)

Hey, Bet’s buttons are back today.

Relax. GnK are using this arc to establish a premise for a future plot twist. I posit that Tiffany will turn out OK. An intelligent, successful business woman. Rather like turning a sow’s ear into a silk purse.

Bets is Felix and Tiff is Oscar.

Different people have different learning curves. There were classes I never seemed to get the hang of the first time around. The second time, same class, I was tutoring my classmates. Don’t get discouraged, if you have to take something twice, you will get it.

The Dressing for Success class will be broken up into the following parts for study:

Business Formal

Business Professional

Business Casual

Casual

Athletic

Seduce the boss

Here’s my prediction: at some point, Tiff is suddenly going to “get” how microeconomics applies to stuff she cares about, and she’ll get all evangelical about it.

My university was on a 4-1-4 system. Four courses for 4 months, one course for 1 month, four courses for 4 months. The 1 month we called “interim” and most of the classes were “fun” types. My business professor and advisor loved sailing, and one interim the had a course where the students built a sailboat and learned to sail it. That must be the type of course Dr. Fabbi taught over the summer.

How to Dress For Success? That’s a seminar. Doesn’t take a whole semester. If the professor is creative, she could have her students do surveys all semester long. Dress business formal – traditionally male suit types for one week and see how people respond. The next week, business formal – feminine for female executives and administrators. The next week, business casual – traditionally male polo shirt and slacks. Next week, Business casual – feminine cut polo shirts, spandex slacks and stilettos. So on. My prediction is people will take Tiffany seriously when she dresses in the business formal feminine. Past research showed that people don’t respond well to women in masculine business formal because they look like they “want to be one of the boys” rather than be the individual and it is suggested they dress the gender they are but with modest cut that does not show cleavage and the hem at the knees. That’s what Tiffany needs for people to take her seriously. She only knows how to flirt and use her body and sexy clothes to do it.

I’m trying to think what Dr. Fabbi taught in summer school that was fun for Tiff.

We have a long way to go, but all journeys start with the first step.

Get out now and move back home, Tiffany. If this is your attitude, this is not going to work out for you.

Maybe over time, microeconomics will become Tiffany’s favorite subject. It would be fun.

When may have changed for Tiffany on the outside, she’s still the same diva on the inside.

the real thing to take away from this arc: no discussion of Gunther for 5 days. A real surprise. Will they tomorrow? Will Bets reveal something monumental ? Stay tooned …

Next class will have a guest speaker from the local business community, talking about how she went from being a manager at Wienie World, to being the “assistant” to a multi-millionaire

When I went to college (when the SAT was accomplished on stone tablets!), MacroEconomics was a requirement before you could take MicroEconomics!

Games and field trips. You know…COLLEGE.

Glad to see flashes of my lovable, real Tiffany come back. For so long it’s just been “woe is me” and “nose to the grind wheel.” I’d like to see a smart “dumb blond” be depicted via Tiffany. And don’t fool yourself. “Dumb blonds” are very savvy when they want/need to be!

Again, to simplify: macroeconomics……macro…mac. The word, Mac lets you know that this subject is about Apple computers. Go out and get yourself a Macbook (or an ipad will also work). Really, this higher education isn’t everything that it is cracked up to be.

Tiffany will persevere I think; keep in mind that she is working, she got through school, she did all this without dad’s money, although I think he is still paying tuition, although the Luannverse scholars can correct me on this. Lets face it, if we met a Tiffany in college we might even like her with all her quirks, maybe because of them. This is a journey she is on, and I for one, am so happy to see progress. Pus we get Bets. She is gold for both Gun(ther) and Tff.

Interesting and generally enjoyable today. This week has been sort of a “light” week in regards to story. But, that is ok. I still very much like the focus on college.

I am thinking that again, Tiffany will have a “Legally Blond” sort of realization soon and we will be surprised at her spunk and determination.

She is just a walking talking Dunning Kruger effect isn’t she?

I thought that Trumputin University was shut down.

I remember some summer classes were a breeze compared to the regular semester counterparts but some professors tried to pack the whole semester into the shorter session. I avoided the latter.

The question here is what course did Tiffany take in the summer that was so much fun that included projects, field trips and games. I never had a class like that

When I was at university, macroeconomics was a prereq. for microeconomics.

Sigh……..Tiff is a work in progress with a long way to go. At least, with a little help from Bets, she’s moving in the right direction.

Oh, Tiffany, Tiffany…and just when I had hopes for you. Sometimes your shallowness amazes me. I still think cosmotology school would be a better fit. Now, you could build a whole strip around that alone.

But Tiff already knows how to dress for every occasion!

Should I know about Dr. Fabbo’s summer class? I’m I forgetting an arc or what?

I too have been wondering about this class. Colleges and universities tend to have summer offerings for the public which are not part of a degree program, and faculty who offer classes during the summer get a boost in income over and above their regular salary, so there is motivation to come up with general interest courses that will attract enrollment enabling the institution to rake in extra tuition dollars.

Tiff will come around to “get” the class and even like it. And we will have Bets to thank (as well as Doc Fabbi)….

In my experience, Macroeconomics WAS a ton of fun compared to MicroEcon.
