Conversely, thought, my late Grandmother had a cat that had to take hairball medication so much that he got to the point where he actually LIKED the medication.
We had a cat with diabetes who wouldn’t take pills, but who calmly accepted two insulin shots each day. My wife said he knew it helped him feel better. I think he just liked the attention he got afterwards for being such a good boy. Another cat had to take thyroid medication, and she rejected the pill, but would come to the kitchen dutifully every morning to have it squirted into her mouth from a syringe after being dissolved in water; she would mildly resist and shake her head afterwards, but she was there the next morning, waiting.
