Well, done, Man! Let your wife and kids get a little more sleep. Similar in my house, I am the only morning human, but one of the dogs gets up early and wants attention! And he barks! He can’t make it up the stairs to where I am trying to get the online news and emails, so I have to go down and give him his skritches so others can sleep.
Oh Lupin, that face, those eyes in the second last panel…why yes, I WILL rob the bank and buy you every single kitty nom nom treat in the world. Anything. Anything, for that face, and those eyes…
Sunday Funday!!!! Ok, the Mega-Orb gives so much, I’d like to give back to the Orb, but of course, I can’t do it alone. Since soon we will no longer need a spoiler zone, I think if we had a designated spot each week for folks to share something fun, great news, a funny story, a joke, anything. This is not to prescribe that this is the only place or time to do it, if you have great news or something to share at anytime, by all means DO so!
Just like the spoiler zone, whoever thinks of it first on a Sunday should start it, even if you don’t have something to share!!!
Clearly the Man has plenty of experience with Lupin’s morning antics. Love his “Here we go again, might as well be amused…” expression in panel 3 & his quick reflexes in catching things (& Lupin) without looking, keeping most of the major mayhem & destruction at bay…
I always wake before the rest of the family. I start the coffee, let the dog out and then fight the cats for the laptop computer so I can read BCN. I remove Mittens and then Belle comes over. I am very popular in the mornings.
O.T. At long last, we will be heading to the big city hospital Wednesday for partner’s cancer surgery. Could I please ask the Orb for prayers, purrs, boops, and any other form of emotional support so that we can get through this and hopefully have it be the last surgery he will need to have for this? It’s supposedly not a life-threatening form, at least at this stage, but if it can be eradicated once and for all, that would be one less worry in my collection. (I’m the worrier, he is at least outwardly unconcerned.) Thank you Orbsters!
This was my morning. The Woman sleeps in on the weekend, and I have a tablet game called “Lily’s Garden” that I am nominally addicted to, so this was to be a morning of playing the game a bit and having some coffee before the woman got up.
From Georgia’s facebook. “When we bought our home there was an extra room with its own separate door. I used half of it as my studio, and the rest sat empty. Recently we connected this room to the rest of the house, and took the unused, wasted space to create a play area for the kids. Now while I work, the cats and kids can visit! I can roll out of bed on a weekend and walk into my studio in my jammies and start working (which I did today) and it is amazing. I love this new space so much, it feels really awesome to have this just be a regular part of the house now”
LOL! Does every collection of cats have a Lupin? My Sammy not only looks like Lupin, she is a perfect act-alike! Everything must be considered in terms of keeping Sammy from knocking it over or biting it to death. The only diff between Sammy and Lupin is that Sammy can hear… theoretically. Oddly, she does not hear any of the words like “no!” and “stop!” and “SAMEEEEE!”
Lupin might be a little pest in regard to the man enjoying peaceful morning, but he just couldn’t be any cuter. That goes for the other two pajama boys as well.
Georgia posted 3 great new slideshows of the cats and her new space.
https://www.instagram.com/breakingcatnews/
There’s something for everybody! Goldie crunching the puppet show castle! Puck as the cat on a mat. Elvis and Lupin being buddies! Invisible Lupin! Lupin Toe Beans! The kids! Even bunny mermaids! (For those not familiar with Instagram, the slideshows look like a single photo with a white icon in the top corner. Click the photo and it will give you access to the side arrows on the photo to see the rest of the photos. Once that window is open, you can click on the arrow to the far right of the screen to get to the next slide show.)
I have missed hanging out with you all, sometimes life gets in the way, and all I can do is read and click love! I updated our surgery fundraiser today, warning, I do mentions a particular surgical procedure (that we won’t be doing) so if you are anxious about things like that, please don’t read it. Agan, thank to all who have already helped, you ad thoe who can only share are so appreciated and I hold you in my heart! https://www.gofundme.com/f/surgery-for-swiftypaws

We’ve met the boy’s lovey stuffed animal, but I don’t recall seeing the girl’s before. Is it a fox? Do we know its name?
Man, you’d better toss some of that spilled salt over your left shoulder!
Is Georgia Dunn the headline or the publisher? Her empire just keeps growing and growing.
Finally, I love that last panel with Lupin sprawled out in victory!

What are the red splotchy marks on the man’s cheeks? Did the cats put makeup on him? He doesn’t appear to be embarrassed.

The cup has a smiley sun in panel three. How cute!

The Man’s skills are impressive, but his prospects of a quiet Sunday morning are nugatory.

Apropos to nothing, the man is sexy, cuddly

I can’t identify that piece of cloth in the middle bottom panel. Is it the curtains? A dish towel? It’s clearly not the tablecloth.

I guess house cats can get pretty restless. After all, they’re born for the outdoors.

This would be funny if not such a true characterization of a “quiet” moment with cats.

Asking the Orb for any emotional support you’d care to throw my way for a kidney stone that required four surgeries to remove. Thanks, folks!
