At the time this cartoon was created, “taking a knee” meant admitting defeat and bowing before the victor to show loyalty to him.

Knees are one thing…spleens are where I draw the line.

Hopefully, Walter is on his way out of the house rather than on his way home. Take a mental health day, Walt.

Walter at his age is thinking better of taking a knee. If he did, he might not be able to get up.

Walter May have a problem with Friday the 13th?

With apologies to Henny Youngman….“Take my knee….PLEASE !” Mine has been in worse shape than usual for a while now.

It also means, oh the hell with it!
