Lucy, Linus, Sally, and Five are in line at the movies. Sally says, "Whenever I stand in line with you, Linus, I like to pretend that we're together." Linus sighs.<BR><BR> Sally asks, "Did you read the reviews, Linus? Is this a good movie?" Linus does not turn around. He responds, "I never read the reviews."<BR><BR> "When we get in to the theater, Linus, where are you going to sit?"<BR><BR> "I like to sit 'way up front," says Linus.<BR><BR> "Sometimes when two people who like each other go to the movie together, they sit in the back row..."<BR><BR> Linus repeats, "I like to sit way up front." The kid in front of Lucy is facing the booth. "One, please." he says.<BR><BR> "Are you going to pay for my ticket, Linus?" Sally asks. "Pay for your own ticket." "One, please." Lucy holds up a bill.<BR><BR> "If I pay for my own ticket, may I sit next to you?" asks Sally. Linus is at the front of the line: "Forget it! One, please."<BR><BR> Sally stands alone.<BR><BR> She screams at the ticket booth: "WHAT MAKES YOU THINK I WANNA BUY A TICKET TO YOUR STUPID MOVIE?"<BR><BR>

What is it about this strip that has pushy females hitting on guys who aren’t interested? Peppermint Patty and Marcie both hit on Charlie Brown, Sally hits on Linus and Lucy hits on Schroeder.
You don’t see any guys in this strip hitting on the girls. Of course not. That would be creepy. But when a woman does it to a man, it’s all right.
