Linus holds a Bible and Sally asks, "Luke who?"<BR><BR> Linus reads, "In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus."<BR><BR> Linus says, "The census is said to have been of "all the world..." This probably really meant only the Roman Empire.."<BR><BR> Linus says, "When we read that there was no room at the inn, the word "inn" is better translated as "guestroom".<BR><BR> Linus says, "The intention, of course, is to contrast a place of human lodging with a place for feeding animals."<BR><BR> Linus says, "Peace among men with whom he is well pleased" is an interesting translation.. it indicates that divine peace is not dependent on human attitudes..."<BR><BR> Linus says, "The name 'Bethlehem' is intersting too.. it means 'house of bread'.. I think things like this are fascinating. What do you think?"<BR><BR> Sally leans back on her pillow and says, "I think if I don't get everything I want for Christmas this year I'm going to gross out!"<BR><BR>
