Peppermint Patty holds a book and says, "I'd like to read this book, Marcie, but I'm kind of afraid."<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty continues, "I had a grandfather who didn't think much of reading . . ."<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty opens the book and says, "He always said that if you read too many books, your head would fall off . . ."<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty sits on the floor and reads the book. Marcie holds Peppermint Patty's head and says, "You start the first chapter, sir, and I'll hold onto your head!"<BR><BR>

Marcie is a great friend. Instead of laughing at the ridiculousness of PP’s head falling off from reading, she goes along with it and finds a way to ease PP’s fear.
