Opossums are grey and white and are in North America. I suppose these could be possums, instead, which are brown and live in Australia. Unfortunately, the defense mechanism of “playing possum” is only a trait of the North American, grey and white opossum, not of the brown Australian possum.Class dismissed.

I keep trying to scare the possums in my yard so they play dead but so far the only play hissing vicious.
