As much as we’d want her to buck the trend her coworkers have started, she’s not really in a good position to do so. If she chooses to “rebel,” then the cycle will simply continue without her and she’ll keep loosing out. She doesn’t have the authority to stop it herself. So, yeah, like it or not, her options are either give in and play along, rebel and not turn a profit…or, I suppose, go work somewhere else entirely and hope no repeats happen there too.
